Ep. 228 LOMACHENKO VS KAMBOSOS FOR THE IBO & IBF LIGHTWEIGHT TITLES

5/11/2024
The IBF Lightweight title is the one belt that "The Matrix" Vasyl Lomachenko (17-3) 11KOs was missing when he attempted his fate at unifying the entire Lightweight division four years ago against then IBF Champion Teofimo Lopez. Loma would fall short on the scorecards and instead lost all his belts to Lopez as well as his standing atop the division. Lomachenko again came up short in his second attempt at Undisputed when he faced Devin Haney. Loma remains hungry and with his sights dead set on reaching the throne. He can secure the title that has long eluded him with a victory tomorrow night. In his path, the former unified Lightweight Champion "Ferocious" George Kambosos Jr. (21-2) 10KOs. Kambosos reached the same heights as Lomachenko within the division and defeated the man that derailed Vasyl's plans in Teofimo Lopez. However, he would go on to suffer a similar fate against Devin Haney in his own attempt at becoming Undisputed. It is a high-stakes, crossroads type of affair for these two former Champions, who are respectively looking at returning to the top of the Lightweight division. Ep. 227 NERY STUNS INOUE BUT ULTIMATELY SUCCUMBS TO "THE MONSTER"

5/11/2024
A valiant effort by Luis "Panterita" Nery (35-2) 27 KOs, who managed to drop & stun Inoue in the opening round, but in the end, Nery succumbed to Inoue's speed, punching power and overall offensive onslaught. "The Monster" Naoya Inoue (27-0) 24 KOs defends his throne and is enroute to cleaning out the 122lb division with Sam Goodman and "Muro" in his sights. Ep. 226 CANELO DEFENDS THE THRONE

5/10/2024
Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (61-2-2) 39 KOs defends the Super-Middleweight throne against a game opponent and fellow countryman in Jaime Munguia (43-1) 34 KOs. Munguia did not shy away from the challenge and did what he could to seize the moment, but in the end the experience and overall ring IQ of Canelo proved to be too much for the young challenger. One name continues to be brought up as the next challenger for the champion and that is none other than the "Mexican Monster" David Benavidez. Time will tell if these two will finally step into the ring against one another and give the fans what they want or if the speculated Berlanga/ Crawford as his next two opponents comes to fruition. For Munguia, he undoubtedly leveled up this past Saturday night. Let's hope that he returns with the same fire against a Morrell, Plant or Mbilli and doesn't lose momentum with "Stay Busy" and/or "Tune-up" type opposition. 5/1/2024
The once dominant former champion "The Axe Man" Nicholas Walters returned to the ring in 2023 and is on a 3-fight win streak, now campaigning at Lightweight. Only time will tell if Walters has returned to seek a title or simply right the lone blemish on his record which came at the hands of "The Matrix" Vasyl Lomachenko 7 years ago. For Angelo Leo, he is now on a 4-fight win streak and in line to face Raymond Ford for his WBA Featherweight Title or "Venado" Luis Alberto Lopez for his IBF strap. Ep. 212 ZEPEDA VS HUGHES IS THE FIGHT TO WATCH THIS WEEKEND

3/16/2024
A fight that may be getting overlooked, but definitely one that you should tune in to & watch if able to. WBA & IBF title eliminator between William "Camaron" Zepeda (29-0) 25 KOs versus former IBO Lightweight Champ Maxi Hughes (26-6-2) 5 KOs . Both highly ranked amongst all sanctioning bodies, a win for either fighter tomorrow is a guaranteed ticket to a Title fight in their next outing. Maxi Hughes with a win, will more than likely be chasing Kambosos to try and avenge his controversial loss last year to him and/or could very well be facing Lomachenko, should he come out victorious in his match up versus Kambosos later this year. For Zepeda, a win would mean a potential WBA Title fight versus "TANK", an IBF showdown against the winner of Loma/ Kambosos, A huge showdown versus Shakur or a WBO Title showdown against the dangerous Raymond Muratalla. I'm interested to hear from you either pre or post fight this weekend. Hit me up on X or IG. Thank You so much for all of your continued support! Ray "Savage" Ford closed out the night in ROCKY fashion & became the newest Featherweight Champion as he stopped Kholmatov to win the WBA Title. A spirited effort by both and a back-and-forth fight that displayed the beauty of the sport that we all love so much. The Co-Main featured the return of Luis Alberto "Venado" Lopez and his underappreciated and often underrated style, versus a game Japanese fighter in Reya Abe. Ep. 209 FROM HIGH EXPECTATIONS TO DISSAPOINTMENT IN PUERTO RICO

3/3/2024
Amanda Serrano steps into the ring to announce that she would not be stepping into the ring due to an eye injury suffered earlier in the week. What we received instead were numerous statements surrounding the injury which raised more questions than provided answers. In turn, we just had to deal with it and be happy that Jake Paul became the night's main event. In the end, the rug got pulled from underneath everyone's feet. The legitimate boxing fight of the entire card happened between Jonathan "BOMBA" Gonzalez and Rene Santiago in their WBO Title unification bout. The fight itself under delivered and raised more questions than it provided answers, nonetheless it was a technical fight with legitimate ranking and title implications. As for Jake Paul and MVP Promotions, the fans are becoming accustomed as to what to expect in future events, as they are setting a trend of unexpected sideshow entertainment rather than legitimate boxing, which continuously has MVP Promotions providing justifications, excuses and reasons for what took place during their respective event earlier in the day. Thank You so much for all of your continued support! Don't forget to follow me on Instagram @TOMATODITOSHOW where you can leave me a comment on the direct post corresponding to this episode.
