With the support of council's Jobs Commitment Program, employers from around the district put the Year 10 cohort through mock interviews. The session was designed to simulate ready world job hunting, complete with tricky questions and resume feedback.

In today’s episode we chat to several players from the Queensland Origin team, and their fans, who turned out 5000 strong for the Maroon’s Fan Day on Tuesday. Gennavieve Lyons spent the day with the Maroon’s team as they visited community organisations before heading to the Multiplex to greet their fans. Gennavieve chats with Daly Cherry-Evans, Valentine Holmes and the one and only Johnathan Thurston, just to name a few.

In today’s podcast episode we take an in depth look at the In the Shed exhibition with Rebecca McDuff from the Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery and Wendy Zunker of Creative Regions. In the Shed, curated by Creative Regions, is a celebration of that humble structure found in backyards and fields across regional Queensland, and the importance it holds for the men that call it theirs. Creative Regions visited the sheds of 17 men from Childers, Apple Tree Creek, Cordalba, Farnsfield, Burnett Heads and Bundaberg for the In the Shed exhibition.

In today’s podcast episode we learn all about the innovative naturalisation project at Washpool Creek. The Washpool Creek naturalisation project will provide stormwater drainage needs and have water quality, ecological and environmental benefits. Currently a concrete drain, the transformed Washpool Creek will be a pleasant place to walk, run, play, and explore. Students from nearby St John's Lutheran Primary School we invited on a site visit with council engineers to get the kids feedback on the naturalisation project.

Today's podcast episode is all about the Wan'di Gather Together event hosted by the Taribelang Cultural Aboriginal Corporation and the Windmill Café. Wan’di means ‘to gather together’ and it will be an evening of delicious indigenous inspired food, stories and cultural celebration this Friday night. We hear from Taribelang Cultural Aboriginal Corporation Traditional Owner Byron Kiya Kayla Broome and Windmill Café owner Joey Caruana about what's planned for the event.

In this week's podcast we say Welcome to Fundaberg, and are treated to a sneak peek at the upcoming comedy show at the Moncrieff. Local comedian Ashley Walmsley talks about his inspiration and what it is about Bundaberg that makes the town so unique. There is also a special appearance by one of Ashley's many alter egos who star in Welcome to Fundaberg. We then get an overview of the shows on throughout May at the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre to make sure you don't miss anything!

In this week's podcast episode we hear about the Moore Park Beach Master Plan that was approved during Council's meeting on Tuesday. Residents had their say on this exciting new plan which features a beach activity area, all-abilities adventure park and a community deck for the area.

George will be the Guest of Honour representing all serving and ex-service members at the Bundaberg Civic Service held at ANZAC Park from 8.30am on Sunday. We also hear from council's events team member Heidi Mason for an overview of the range of ANZAC day services being held across the region.
