Menage-A-Pod

Comedy

What do unqualified advice givers do? Start a podcast. What do single people do? Give relationship advice. That's how this podcast was born. Menage-a-Pod is a hilarious new podcast about dating, sex, relationships and everything in between, hosted by Gena (IG@genagrish, former HuffPo Dating Columnist) and TJ (IG@chicagocaferacer, former serial dater & wannabe comedian). In it, we tackle topics like ass pics, divorce, breadcrumbing being the Pumpkin Spice Latte of dating and what it's like to date as a single parent all within the first few episodes. Let's be honest, dating sucks. We are here to let you know that you're not alone out there and help you laugh along the way (and through the tears). Hang in there. We've got you, boo. On today’s episode, Gena and TJ talk about the changes to the dating landscape, good (and warm) date spots this winter that won’t get you muuuurdered (like inviting a stranger to your house for a first date could), and some bullshit called “slow dating” that Bumble coined. We're Loving It

7/1/2020
Loving Day is an annual celebration held on June 12, the anniversary of the 1967 United States Supreme Court decision Loving v. Virginia which struck down all anti-miscegenation laws remaining in sixteen U.S. states. In the United States, anti-miscegenation laws were U.S. state laws banning interracial marriage, mainly forbidding marriage between 2 different races, until the Warren Court ruled unanimously in 1967 that these state laws were unconstitutional. Chief Justice Earl Warren wrote in the court majority opinion that "the freedom to marry, or not marry, a person of another race resides with the individual, and cannot be infringed by the State." This week we are joined by Brandon and Indira, an interracial couple in their first year of marriage. We talk about their journey as a couple, navigating the potential landmines, the impact of microaggressions, and we talk about the importance of difficult conversations.
