Next Steps Show featuring Virginia Eleanor McIntyre

6/16/2023
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to another exciting episode of the Next Steps Show. Today, we have Virginia McIntyre, the daughter of a retired law enforcement officer, a renowned artist, and candidate for Monroe County Legislator for District 4. Born and raised in Gates, NY, Virginia McIntyre is the proud daughter of a retired law enforcement officer. From a young age, she developed a deep passion for music, performing with esteemed ensembles such as the Gates-Chili High School Concert Choir, the Bach Children’s Choir, and RAPA throughout her childhood. After graduating from high school, Virginia continued to cultivate her love for music at Monroe Community College (MCC). She then transferred to the State University of New York (SUNY) at Purchase, earning her Bachelor's in Vocal Performance. Following this, a unique opportunity led her to Mantova, Italy, where she shifted her focus to post-graduate studies at the prestigious Conservatory of Mantova, graduating in 2005 with a degree in Vocal Performance. In Italy, Virginia established a thriving teaching and interpreting business. She built successful collaborations with local business owners, aiding them in marketing their products and services to English-speaking audiences. Her role led to significant partnerships with the Mantova Chamber of Commerce and various businesses, including the Tourism Organization "Mantova Welcomes You". Virginia's work swiftly expanded in scope, and she emerged as the primary reference point for the "American perspective" in Mantova. This experience deepened her understanding of international politics and sparked her interest in outreach and education. Her return to the US in 2019 was hindered by the COVID-19 lockdown in Italy. Nonetheless, Virginia showed resilience and a determination to make a difference back home. After finally returning to Gates in 2021, she devoted herself to caring for her critically ill mother. Upon her mother's recovery, Virginia immersed herself in local community work and political campaigns. She has served on the Comprehensive Plan Update Board for Gates and the Conservation Advisory Board/CSC Task Force. Her unwavering commitment to the community and fervor for local and county government culminated in her decision to run for Monroe County Legislator for District 4, which includes Gates and Greece. Virginia McIntyre is driven by her mission to ensure that people's voices are heard in the governmental process. Throughout her life, she has been honing skills and accumulating experiences that position her as a strong advocate for her community. Next Steps Show featuring New York Citizens Audit

6/4/2023
Join Peter Vazquez and Ayesha Kreutz for a great conversation with New York Citizens Audit (NYCA) – Marly Hornik, founding member and Director & Kim Hermance, founding member and Trustee. --- New York Citizens Audit (NYCA) is a non–partisan team of concerned citizen volunteers working to restore election integrity to the Empire State. These heroes have volunteered thousands of hours to do what the state will not do - audit the New York State voter database. Using publicly available data, NYCA has analyzed over 20 million records in the New York State Voter Rolls, finding millions of irregular registrations that impacted the results of every race in the 2020 General Election. NYCA believes an end-to-end audit of the NYS Board of Elections is warranted. Armed with the facts, our volunteer County Strike Teams bring NYCA’s documented evidence to officials. We intend to pursue every remedy available under NYS Law and the Constitution to bring accountability for the Citizens of New York State. New York Citizens Audit is dedicated to restoring and maintaining the essential, founding American principle of honest, provable elections in New York and across the nation. ''The first grand right, is that of the people having a share in their own government by their representatives chosen by themselves, and, in consequence, of being ruled by laws, which they themselves approve, not by edicts of men over whom they have no control." From "A Letter to the Inhabitants of Quebec," unanimously signed by the delegates to the First Continental Congress on October 26, 1774 Marly Hornik: Marly is the Founder and Director of the non-partisan, grassroots organization New York Citizens Audit (NYCA). She leads a team of hundreds of citizen professionals from across the state who investigate, research, and audit the New York State Voter Rolls. Marly has been a speaker and advocate for election integrity in New York State and across the nation. Kim Hermance: Kim is a founding member and a Trustee of New York Citizens Audit (NYCA). Kim serves as the statewide volunteer coordinator and organizer of NYCA‘s County Strike teams. Kim believes citizens need to understand what happened in the 2020 election so the systemic issues in the election process can be fixed for future generations. She has worked tirelessly in NY State to educate citizens about election integrity. Next Steps Show with Peter Vazquez & Ayesha Kreutz

5/20/2023
The Next Steps Show: Navigating Knowledge, Rights, and Leadership. Welcome back, faithful listeners! This week, we're delivering an in-depth insight into the most engaging discussions from the Next Steps Show, hosted by your favourite duo, Peter Vazquez, the Conservative Nuyorican and Ayesha Kreutz, the Extraordinary Machine. From the exploration of false knowledge to understanding constitutionalism, there's something enlightening for everyone! Our first topic of discussion rings true with George Bernard Shaw's famous quote, "Beware of false knowledge; it is more dangerous than ignorance." In an age characterized by an unprecedented overflow of information, distinguishing between accurate knowledge and misinformation becomes imperative. Remember, it's always better to question than to accept blindly. Our hosts also shed light on individual rights and constitutionalism. Individual rights are the foundation upon which the United States was built. Our Constitution safeguards these rights, providing a guide for governance and societal interaction. Understanding these principles empowers us as citizens, helping us advocate for our rights and uphold the values we cherish. A pertinent discussion between advocacy and activism emerged, highlighting the unique but interconnected roles both play in shaping societal discourse. Advocacy often involves working within the system, promoting change through policy revisions or legislation. Activism, on the other hand, may involve stepping outside conventional norms, rallying public sentiment, and sparking dialogue for systemic change. Both are crucial in driving social change, each with its own strengths and limitations. The concept of a limited government aligns closely with the principles of individual liberty. By constraining the power of government, we ensure that individual freedoms are not trampled. Our hosts discuss how this idea, when implemented effectively, can strike a balance between necessary governance and personal liberty. Free Market Capitalism— a foundational element of our economic structure, enables competition, fosters innovation, and promotes individual enterprise. In essence, it's an economic system where supply, demand, and prices operate with minimal government intervention. When used effectively, it can serve as a powerful engine for growth and prosperity. Finally, our hosts shared profound advice for our listeners—how to find strength and courage to forge forward, dismantle barriers, and emerge as the leaders they are meant to be. This journey starts with self-belief, coupled with an unwavering determination to succeed. Your power lies within you; it's about harnessing it effectively. Remember, leadership isn't about control, but about empowering others. Leaders are not those who impose, but those who inspire. Let your actions demonstrate the values you stand for and make a difference as God intended us to be. The Next Steps Show, through these enlightening discussions, continues to challenge our listeners to question, learn, and grow. We provide an engaging platform for robust discussions, a medium for change, and a beacon guiding individuals toward a path of informed action and leadership. So tune in next week for another insightful episode, and remember—knowledge is power, so arm yourself wisely. Stay curious, stay informed, and stay inspired! Next Steps Show featuring Sylus Vazquez

3/17/2023
This week our conversation includes Sylus Vazquez, son of Next Steps Show host, Peter Vazquez; a wild and free kid who takes God, County, Family and Personal Responsibility seriously. Sylus N. Vazquez is a dynamic and responsible 24-year-old individual who takes great pride in his work. After finishing high school, Sylus discovered his passion for working with his hands in the construction industry. He began his apprenticeship with the prestigious UA Local 669 Fire Sprinkler Fitters Union in 2018 and is now just a few months away from turning out of his time. As an apprentice Fire Sprinkler Fitter, Sylus gained invaluable knowledge not only about the mechanics of the trade but also about the importance of building relationships in the industry. He firmly believes that the key to success in the construction world lies not only in mastering the technical skills but also in forging positive connections with colleagues and clients. Sylus recognizes the construction industry's vital role in society, referring to it as the backbone of infrastructure. He understands that without the contributions of skilled tradespeople like plumbers, carpenters, HVAC technicians, electricians, and Fire Sprinkler Fitters, society could not function properly. Unfortunately, the industry has suffered from negative stereotypes and poor relationships, leading to a perception that tradesmen and women are inferior to college-educated professionals. Sylus passionately advocates for learning a trade and dispelling the myth that there is no money or pride to be found in a career in the trades. He recognizes the sense of accomplishment and independence that comes from mastering a trade and being able to support oneself and one's family. He urges young people to join the movement and become skilled tradespeople, helping to rebuild the construction industry's reputation and make a positive impact on society.
