Eugene Vindman is a former Army Colonel and prosecutor who is running to represent Virginia’s 7th district. He thinks that he's funny when he makes some of these claims and he likes to test the waters. But what he's talking about is deadly serious. There are attacks all throughout the country on Jews, on synagogues, and anti-Semitism has spiked. The extremist right, white supremacists, have found a voice, have been bolstered by him. And it's extremely dangerous. Frank’s father Francis Schaeffer was a prominent evangelical theologian in the ‘60s, ‘70s, and ‘80s. Together, Frank and his father made several influential evangelical films and books, and heavily influenced religious education, conservative policy, and the evangelical movement. The New York Times once called them “Evangelical Royalty”. Frank left the church in “disgust” after witnessing “unchristlike behavior” on a leadership level across the nation. He wrote a memoir, Crazy for God, about this shift in the evangelical movement. Now, Frank hosts a podcast called In Conversation… with Frank Schaeffer and a blog where he warns people about the dangers of the radical evangelical movement.
